Stream Together — Support
Contact: [email protected]
I read this address and reply to everything. Reports of abusive content and behaviour are reviewed within 24 hours.
Stream Together is beta software, distributed through TestFlight. It is maintained by Webzler.
Reporting abuse or objectionable content
If someone is abusive, or posts something that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy:
- Block them — tap their name in the participants list or on any message, then Block. It takes effect immediately and applies inside rooms and chat, not just in lists.
- Report them — the same menu offers Report, with a reason. A copy of the message is included, so it survives the author deleting it.
- If it is urgent, or if it involves a minor or a credible threat, email [email protected] directly and say so in the subject line. Reports involving child safety are actioned immediately and reported to the relevant authority.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaches the policy is removed and the account responsible is ejected and, for serious or repeated breaches, barred.
What you need to use the app
- An iPhone running iOS 26.1 or later. iPhone only.
- Your own Netflix or Prime Video subscription. The app plays nothing of its own, and everyone in a watch party streams from their own account.
- An iCloud account, for anything social — profile, friends, rooms, chat. Watching works without one; you get a room code and a local session.
- At least two people. A room of one proves nothing.
Common problems
A video will not start, or stops with an error
Launch the app from the Home Screen, not by tapping "Open" in TestFlight. Launching through another app degrades the sandbox the system uses for protected playback, and providers refuse to play — Netflix usually shows error S7336. Force-quit the app and reopen it from the Home Screen.
If a second video fails after a first one played fine in the same session, force-quit and reopen. This is a known limitation.
Nothing social works — no profile, no friends, no rooms
Check you are signed in to iCloud in Settings, and that iCloud Drive is not restricted by Screen Time or a device management profile. The app will tell you which of these is wrong on the Friends or Profile screen.
My friend and I cannot see each other
Handles are exact and case-insensitive; @amit and @Amit are the same person. Check you have both created a profile with a handle — a profile without one cannot be found. Sync is polled every couple of seconds, so allow a moment.
Playback is out of step between devices
Synchronisation is polled, not pushed, so a pause lands within about two seconds rather than instantly. Larger drift is a bug worth reporting — please say what both people saw and roughly when.
The picture has black bars, or the glow behind it looks wrong
Both the cropping and the ambient glow are measured from a sampled video frame. Where a frame cannot be read they fall back quietly, so two people may see different things on the same film. Not serious, but worth mentioning if it looks bad.
Reporting a bug
Email [email protected] with:
- what you did, what you expected, what happened;
- the film or programme, and the provider;
- your iPhone model and iOS version;
- whether the other person saw the same thing, if it was a sync problem;
- the build number from TestFlight.
There is a diagnostic log at Documents/diagnostics.log inside the app's container, reachable through the Files app under On My iPhone → Stream Together if file sharing is enabled on your build. Attach it if you can — it records why playback failed, and it never leaves your device otherwise.
Deleting your data
Settings in the app offers deletion of your profile, which removes your profile, handle, presence and friend connections. To have chat messages removed as well, email [email protected].
